The surfing paradise is the world’s fourth most populous country, and has the world’s largest population of Muslims. Beside spending time on the well known tourist island of bali, which offers great surf i did travel to the west and to the east indonesian islands. when  you leave the friendly hindu bali behind, you also leave most of the tourism behind you.  In the west the most memorable trip was when we spent a month camping on a fishing boat cruising through the mentawai islands. On the other side, the islands east of bali offer everything a surfer is living for too. On the little island of Savu, which is located between Timor and Sumba we try to support Pater Franz and his projects, which are mainly helping kids and young people to get education, with our www.surfair.at project.

we did surf that wave by ourselves for three days before one of the real charter boats showed up and told us the name of this spot.
