Further in Austria
Feb 15, 2012 in Austria, WINTER NEWS
After two month of constantly face shots in an extraordinary winter the Further Crew is visiting Bibi and myself in Austria to go for some missions. The plan for the austrian project was developped when we hooked up with Jeremy at the O´Neill Evolution to enjoy the insane powder at Davos with the local shredder Päsce in early January. The timing for the crew to come over and play could not have been much better, an extraordinary winter with lots of snow and freezing cold temperatures always in the minus 20 celsius range made the missions so far hard but also guaranteed for really good snow. Although the temperatures were on the edge to deal with, we took advantage of a quiet save snowpack and went on a camp mission in one of the most remote mountain areas in central europe. Temperatures in the tents never went up higher than minus 10, but to be out there splittboarding and riding some pow in this beautiful area was totally worth the numb toes everybody had to deal with.
Next days a new storm is bringing more fresh and we are charging our batteries for more during the next week.
here a few impressions of the last weeks…
