mitch joins jones snowboards

Aug 25, 2010 in summer news

The reason for me to join jeremy`s brand is simple: as we both share the passion for freeriding i am sure that the whole focus is on developping the best boards to live our sport out there in the backcountry.

Chicama, Peru – maybe the longest wave on the planet

Aug 22, 2010 in summer news

We arrived at night, knowing that a big swell was coming to hopefully make this legendary wavemachine work. Although it was already dark when we arrived we saw the whitewater lines rolling along the beach into the harbour bay. Next morning i was smiling when i had the first look out of the window. I have never seen a wave like that, it is amazing! line after line is rolling towards the coast ready to give you a memorable ride.

The surf: Its a fun and really long wave with different sections from slower sections to hollow peeling ones – every thing included in the long travel down the line up. Usually you would ride three different waves from the first take off out behind the little headland to the harbour and than walk back for half an hour to jump in the cold water and do it again…
