austrian spines
i was looking at this beauty for years. some years ago i had already a try to get to the top of it at time but couldn’t make it getting stuck in the snow.

we had a good feeling with the snow from filming with fritschi for the last couple of days around austria. a one day weatherwindow was good to give it a go.

the climb on the ridge is really tricky and it needs a real `i wanna go feeling´ not to turn around at some tricky spot stuck in steep, waist-high snow. all in all it took me three hours to get from the car to the top of the run, the hardest part was the climb alone along the ridge.
